Very few dogs are finicky. Most will eat until they explode, if given the choice. And after they puke, they’ll eat that and go sniffing for more. This is not because dogs are crazy or gross – this is because dogs have evolved with an amazing ability to eat anything in their path. Despite what you may have been told, dogs are omnivores, not strictly carnivores, and can develop food addictions such as to eating ANYTHING, even rocks.

If dogs had not developed this ability to eat anything, they might not have survived as a species. In the ancient days, food was hard to find. It could be a long time between hunts or finding a carcass. So dogs are programmed to stuff themselves with as much food as they possibly could in order to get them through the lean times.

But now, food is readily available and exercise has been severely cut. This makes all homes with a dog food addiction treatment centers. The dogs are still programmed to seek out any and all edible (and sometimes used to be edible) items and GULP. It is up to you to keep your dog from doing that.
